I don't know what this flower is - it was growing in a long spike of many other similar tiny white flowers, on the side of the otherwise inconspicuous road

Pickerelweed growing in the Mullica River, New Jersey Pine Barrens. This was found in the lower, tidal, wide part of the river, quietly growing near the banks.

This is Queen Anne's Lace, before it turns to lace. I love the thin frilly leaves around it. It is all curled up.

I don't know what it is, but it looks like a big open mouth with sharp upper incisors.

Here is the lovely flower of the milkweed plant. They grow in big clumps. Each flower is about 1/4 inch across.

I found this monarch butterfly caterpillar munching on a milkweed leaf by the side of the road.

I watched this bumble bee for a while. He really preferred the purple clover to the white clover. He had full pollen sacs on his back legs.
